In between Kyoto and Tokyo... Disneyland!

Hi! Do you still remember us? I know... I'm always thinking that I need to write in the blog but there's always something I need to do and the blog gets no attention at all! We will try to do better...
So, where did we left? Kyoto! After Kyoto we went to Tokyo (commuting doesn't always suck, specially when travelling in japanese bullet trains), but before going to Tokyo itself we spent some time at Disneyland. We found a great hotel, well the hotel isn't great, but the location and the price were exactly what we were looking for because we were a troop of 5 (it's not easy to find places to stay) and we didn't want to pay the resorts inside the Disney village. MyStays Maihama, they have a shuttle to Disneyland (20min walk) and it's 10min walk to DisneySea (a twin park just next to Disneyland targeting a slightly older generation).
We spent 2 days there, at first we bought a 2 day ticket to Disneyland and were not planning to go to DisneySea, but we ended top changing it and went one day to each park.
Disneyland Tokyo:
It's magic! Disney really knows how to make you feel a child again! You can see they take the slogan 'the happiest place on earth' very seriously. I would definitely go there again, it was great fun for all the family! Kids were so happy. People asked us frequently if they are not too small to go to Disney, if you ask them they loved it. They cannot go on every ride, but there's plenty of things for them, and they don't have to pay for entry ticket. Don't miss the night parade, it's amazing!!! The parades were one of the favourite things for the kids.
We've read that it's one of the world's most visited theme parks so we were afraid of the big cues to ride everything. If you go with small kids it's fine, because the kids attractions were not that busy and had a maximum of 30 minutes wait, but in general was about 15/20 minutes which is perfectly fine. We went on nearly all the kids rides in one day. The only disappointing thing was the characters, you can't just go and give a handshake (or a hug and kisses if you are Teresinha). There's lots of people and huge queues and honestly we passed all. Waiting a long time just to greet a "toy".
DisneySea:
This is probably the most beautiful park I've ever been too. It's like and entire "city" with many neighborhood was created. All the scenery is perfect. The houses, villages, lakes and everything surrounded by water. Everything they created is perfect. There's not many rides on this park, but we took more advantage of the big rollercoasters than in Disneyland. Almost every ride had a single rider lane, that is even quicker than the fast track pass that you can buy. And here we manage to greet some of the characters and take some pictures with them (this might no mean much to you, the adult reading this, but it's a highlight for kids). This park has way less people than the other. We missed the ToyStory attraction, but there are a few things in life that I'll wait 90 minutes for and this is not one of them.
Overall it was really worth it and we highly recommend it!

Olá! Ainda se lembram de nós? Estou sempre a pensar que tenho que vir aqui escrever mas depois aparece sempre alguma coisa para fazer e o blog fica sem atenção nenhuma! Vamos tentar escrever mais...
Então? Onde tínhamos ficado? Kyoto! Depois de Kyoto fomos para Tokyo (andar de um lado para o outro nem sempre é mau, principalmente quando se viaja nos comboios bala do Japão). Antes de ir para Tokyo "mesmo" fomos dois dias à Disneyland. Encontrámos um hotel óptimo, quer dizer, o hotel não era fantástico, mas a localização e o preço eram top (encontrar estadia para 5 nem sempre é fácil), exactamente o que queríamos. Não queríamos pagar os resorts dentro da Disney. MyStays Maihama, tem um serviço de transporte grátis para a Disneyland (20 minutos a andar) e está a 10 minutos a pé da DisneySea (outro parque da Disney mesmo ao lado).
Ficámos dois dias, ao princípio compramos entradas para a Disneyland e não estávamos a pensar ir a DisneySea, mas acabámos por trocar e passar um dia em cada um dos parques.
Disneyland Tokyo:
É mágico! A Disney sabe realmente como nos fazer sentir uma criança outra vez! Levam o "the happiest place on earth" mesmo a sério. Voltava já lá, foi mesmo divertido para todos! Os miúdos estavam tao contentes. As pessoas perguntam-nos várias vezes se os miúdos não são demasiado pequenos para ir a Disney. Se lhes perguntarem a eles vão responder que adoraram. Não podem andar em tudo, mas há imensas coisas para eles, e não pagam. Não percam o desfile das luzes à noite, é espectacular!!! Todos os desfiles valem a pena, foi das coisas que os miúdos mais gostaram.
Tinhamos lido que o parque de Tokyo era um dos mais visitados de todo o mundo e estávamos em pânico com as filas em tudo. Se forem com miúdos pequenos é fácil, as atrações para pequenos nunca têm filas muito grandes, no máximo esperamos 30 minutos, mas em média as filas eram de 15/20 minutos, o que é perfeitamente razoável. Andámos praticamente em tudo num só dia. A única desilusão foi com os personagens, não se pode chegar la e dizer olá e fazer um 'choca aí' (ou dar beijinhos e abraços se for a Teresinha). Há tanta gente e filas enormes, passámos de todos. Estar horas numa fila só para cumprimentar um "boneco"!
DisneySea:
Este é provavelmente o parque mais bonito de todos. É uma "cidade" inteira, com vários bairros. Todo o cenário é espectacular. As casas, as vilas, os lagos e tudo rodeado de água. Tudo o que criaram é perfeito! Não há muitas atrações neste parque, mas acabámos por andar em mais coisas (nós adultos) que na Disney. Não falhámos uma montanha russa! Quase todas as filas têm uma fila para quem está sozinho, avança mais depressa do que a fila para quem tem os passes rápidos (podem comprar-se junto com os bilhetes). Aqui conseguimos "brincar" com alguns personagens e até tirar fotografias (pode não querer dizer muito a um adulto, mas para os miúdos é um excitamento). Este parque tem muito menos gente que o outro. Não conseguimos ir ao ToyStory, mas há poucas coisas na vida pelas quais esperamos 90 minutos e esta não é uma delas!
Vale mesmo a pena, Adorámos os dias na Disney! Recomenda-se!
