Kaohsiung #1 attraction!

One of the reasons we choose to come to Kaohsiung was the Lotus Pound! The kids, specially Francisco is crazy for the Lego character Ninjago, for him this is Ninjago neighbourhood LOL! They ask to go back all the time! All the colours of the pagodas in the middle of the pound is really amazing. We were part of the attraction too, well the kids, since we were, once more, the only ones with rounded eyes. I really don't get it, why there's not ocidental tourists at this place, it's really worth to come here.
It's very easy to arrive from the city center. We took the MRT to Kaohsiung main station and then a train to Zuoying station, Lotus Pound is around 200 meters across the avenue. We were so tired after walking around the pound and visit the pagodas that all we wanted was good comforting food, we ended up at McDonalds, very Taiwanese LOL! On the way back we took a bus in front of McDonalds that stopped right at our doorstep and it only cost around 0,60 EUR for the 4 of us!

Umas das razoes pelas que escolhemos vir a Kaohsiung foi o Lotus Pound! Os miúdos, especialmente o Francisco, são loucos pelos Ninjago, uns personagens da Lego e para eles isto é o bairro dos Ninjagos :-). Estão sempre a pedir para lá voltar. Os pagodes de cores fortes no meio do lago fazem um cenário giro. Como sempre nós também fizemos parte da atração (os miúdos na verdade), já que uma vez mais éramos as únicas pessoas de olhos redondos. Estranhamos não haver mais turistas ocidentais em Kaohsiung, vale a a pena vir.
Do centro da cidade é, como sempre, muito fácil chegar aqui. Apanhámos o metro para Kaohsiung Main Station e depois um comboio para Zuoying Station. O lago fica a 200 metros da estação. Ficamos tao cansados depois de andar à volta do lago e visitar os pagodes que apenas queríamos comer algo 'calórico' assim que acabamos num McDonalds...muito Taiwanês...lol! A volta a casa foi fácil: um autocarro porta a porta desde o McDonalds que custou 0,60€ para os 4!
