Today's plan exceeded by far our expectations! We found about the sugar museum by coincidence and decided to check it out. It's far from de center but it's easy to get there by metro. What a great place for the kids... An abandoned sugar factory with plenty of trains, metal robots and other creatures, among other things. The best part of all it's the bicycles, as soon as you get out of the train theres plenty of different kinds of bicycles. I wish we had a bicycle like the one we rented, with a small seat in front and a place to put the kids feet and hands. We rode the entire day around that area. kids din't want to return the bicycles when it was time to come back home. Another highlight of the day was the place we found by chance for lunch. It was so cool that it was like being in Brooklyn more than Kaohsiung, in the middle of nowhere (well, only if you don't take into account that we were the only ones with rounded eyes and that we ordered the food without a slight idea of what we were going to eat, all in chinese). The food was delicious and the place had a great vibe. If by any chance you come to this part of the world, go to Jimmy's Home best place in Kaohsiung so far! It was a great day. The Sugar Museum is definitely on our top list of things to do in Kaohsiung if you are with kids.

O programa de hoje foi muito além das nossas expectativas! Descobrimos o museu do açúcar por acaso e decidimos ir dar uma espreitadela. É longe do centro mas é muito fácil lá chegar de metro. Que óptimo sítio para crianças...uma velha fábrica de açúcar abandonada, com várias locomotivas (usadas no transporte do açúcar), peças velhas transformadas em robots e várias criaturas entre outros. No entanto o melhor do dia foram as bicicletas. Assim que se sai do metro há muitas opções de aluguer de bicicletas de vários tipos. Pedalamos o dia inteiro por aquela zona. Os miúdos não queriam devolver as bicicletas quando já eram horas de voltar para casa. Outro ponto alto do dia foi o sítio que descobrimos para almoçar. Num ambiente muito cool, mais parecia Brooklyn que um sítio perdido em  Kaohsiung (isto se ignorarmos o facto de sermos as únicas pessoas de olhos redondos e que pedimos de uma lista em chines sem ter a menor ideia do que vamos comer). A comida era óptima e o sítio tinha óptimo ambiente. Se, por acaso, vierem a esta parte do mundo, venham ao Jimmy's Home , o melhor sítio de Kaohsiung até agora! Foi um grande dia. O Museu do Açucar é, sem dúvida, uma das coisas a não perder em Kaohsiung se estiverem com crianças.
